HP ProLiant DL385 G2 2U Rackmounted Server

Recently I’ve been on the market seeking out new servers to add to our existing Data Center cluster; usually this is a task I prefer not to leave to our procurement department. The only two brands of servers that I would ever think of purchasing would be Dell and HP from previous experiences I’ve had with both companies. I am very reluctant to make huge purchase at once until I know a specific model is exactly what we need. I’ve done some research into the HP ProLiant DL385 G2 and decided to take a leap and purchase one, so far so good.

Disable Microsoft Windows Shutdown Event Tracker

If you run an O/S such as Microsoft Windows 2003 server you will be fully aware of the Shutdown Event Tracker, the prompt that appears before Windows actually shuts down or restarts.
